Abdulla Mohamed Shadid is the Head of Aerospace at Mubadala, where he is responsible managing the unit’s portfolio of aerospace companies, as well as developing and implementing the unit’s strategy for this sector.
Abdulla joined Mubadala in 2005, and subsequently became a member of the team that helped develop Abu Dhabi’s first comprehensive aerospace strategy in 2006. He has since been engaged in its implementation and execution, with an initial focus on the aftermarket segment. During this time he has established key relationships with leading global aerospace players, including GE Aviation, International Aero-Engines and Hamilton Sundstrand. More recently, Abdulla served as the Chief Commercial Officer of the Mubadala Aerospace MRO network, overseeing the strategy, sales, business development and product management activities for SR Technics and Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies.
He is the Chairman of Sanad and serves as a Director on the Boards of SR Technics, Abu Dhabi Ship Building and Turbine Services & Solutions Aerospace.
Prior to joining Mubadala, Abdulla was a Projects Analyst with the UAE Offset Programme Bureau.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from University College London (UCL) in the United Kingdom.
