In 1937, Saab was founded with the mission to secure the nation’s supply of military aircraft as part of their drive to maintain national security and sovereignty.
Saab serves the global market of governments, authorities, and corporations with products, services, and solutions ranging from military defense to civil security. With operations on every continent, Saab continuously develops, adapts and improves new technology to meet customers’ changing needs.
Saab’s most important markets today are Europe, South Africa, Australia, and the USA. Saab has around 13,000 employees. Annual sales amount to around SEK 24 billion (AED 12.3 billion), of which research and development account for about 20 percent of sales.
